Acts 15 - 17

Brothers and Sisters,

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (Acts 16)

Do you earnestly pray for the salvation of your loved ones? Do you fight on your knees or on your feet in prayer for your troubled child?  I believe that the verse above has a promise of salvation and deliverance for our loved ones. "Si tu crois, tu verras la gloire de Dieu" (John 11:40).

Please read Acts 15 - 17.

Acts 12 - 14

Brothers and Sisters,

21 On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. 22 They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” 23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.(Acts 12)

Herod did not die because he persecuted the church in Jerusalem and had the apostle James, the brother of John and son of Zebedee, put to death by the sword. But Herod died because he did not give praise to God (Acts 12:23). Do you give praise to God?  Do you give him credit for your success and  for your great accomplishments?

Please read the three chapters Acts 12 - 14.

Acts 7 - 11

Brothers and Sisters,

19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.” (Acts 10)

The Holy Spirit still talks to God's people. Can you hear him? How did the Holy Spirit talk to Peter, you may ask yourself. We don't know. However, one of the ways he talks to people is through the reading and listening of the word of God, the Bible. And while you are reading the chapters with us, please open your heart so you can hear what the Spirit is saying to you.

Please read Acts 7 - 11

Acts 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. (Acts 4)

When anointed preaching, healing, signs and wonders are missing from the life of a church, that church will turn solely into a social gathering instead of the life changing church envisioned by the Christians of the primitive church at Jerusalem. The prayer of Acts 4:29-31 is a powerful prayer that every Christian needs to pray for their local church.  People should experience salvation, healing and deliverance when they come to our churches.

Please read Acts 4 - 6.

Acts 1 - 3

Brothers and Sisters,

On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” ( Acts 1)

When a computer is infected with viruses to such an extent that antivirus programs cannot fully clean it, a re-image of the machine is necessary. A complete reinstall of the Operating System is performed. We see the same machine (physically), but in reality this is a different machine. The Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father. "The gift my Father promised, declared Jesus. A person who has been baptized with the Holy Spirit, physically looks the same like any human being, but in realty she is a very different creation. She has become a Spirit filled, born again person.

John 19 - 21

Brothers and Sisters,

20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”  (John 21)

You cannot base your service or your walk with the Lord on how the Lord is working on the life of someone else.  Jesus answered to Peter, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me, (ch 21:22)"   We are all soldiers in the army of the Lord, each one of us must follow Jesus wherever that may lead.  Some of us will have it easy in this life, some of us will have it hard in this life, but we must follow Jesus.

Please read all three chapters John 19 - 21.

May the Lord richly bless you!

John 15 - 18

Brothers and Sisters,

"But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you," (John 16). Do you  really appreciate the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life? Jesus told his disciples that the presence of the Holy Spirit in them was more beneficial than Jesus' physical presence with them. It is still true, Jesus is ever present with us through the Holy Spirit. Can we listen to the voice of the Holy Sprit?

Please read John 15 - 18.

John 13 - 15

Brothers and Sisters,

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13)

What does that mean to you? What does that mean to our church?

Please read John 13 -15.

John 10 - 12

Brothers and Sisters,

40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (John)

All we need is faith in God.

Please read John 10 - 12.

John 7 - 9

Brothers and Sisters,

37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7)

Have you received the Spirit? Do you live as someone who has received the Holy Spirit? Do rivers of living water flow from within you? These are very important questions that only you can answer.

Please read John 7 - 9.

John 2 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

John 3:16 tells us everything we need to know about the extent of the love of God for us. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." All people need to know that God loves them. And the knowledge of the depth of God's love for us helps us put everything in this life in proper perspective. "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

Please read John 2 - 6.

Luke 23 - John 1

Brothers and Sisters,

On the cross Jesus prayed a very effective prayer for the chief priests, the rulers, the soldiers, the criminals, and  for all humanity. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23). A lot of times I don't know what I am doing. So, I have prayed this prayer a lot for myself and for others that God has placed on my life journey; "Father forgive me, for I do not know what I am doing. Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."  For a lot of us the most difficult person to forgive is ourselves. Let us pray,  "Father forgive us, for we do not know what we are doing."  (repeat as much as necessary). If you really mean it, this prayer will help you break loose from  any negative thing  of  your past.

Please read Luke 23 - John 1.

Luke 20 - 22

Brothers and Sisters,

He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” (Luke 20)

God has no problem with people giving to Caesar what is Caesar's. The problem is Caesar is greedy, he wants to have all that is God's. Caesar wants to take all of our time; we don't have time for church. Caesar wants to take all of our money; we don't have any money left to give to the work of the Lord. Caesar wants to use up all of our talent; we don't have the enthusiasm to help the youths and the children of our communities. Caesar wants it all, and sadly most often we willingly give it all to him. But remember what Jesus said, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s."

Please read all three chapters Luke 20 - 22.

Luke 17 - 19

Brothers and Sisters,

Luke 18:1 is an excellent verse to memorize and to preach to oneself. "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up."(Luke 18:1)

Please read Luke 17 - 19.

May the Lord richly bless you!
