Brothers and Sisters,
He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” (Luke 20)
God has no problem with people giving to Caesar what is Caesar's. The problem is Caesar is greedy, he wants to have all that is God's. Caesar wants to take all of our time; we don't have time for church. Caesar wants to take all of our money; we don't have any money left to give to the work of the Lord. Caesar wants to use up all of our talent; we don't have the enthusiasm to help the youths and the children of our communities. Caesar wants it all, and sadly most often we willingly give it all to him. But remember what Jesus said, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s."
