Exodus 33 - 38

Brothers and Sisters,

While I was in West Palm Beach, Florida yesterday I visited a Haitian church. The church is big and beautiful, they bought it last year for 3.5 million dollars. I felt proud that the Haitian people, my people can buy such a beautiful place to worship the Lord. Is it just a coincidence that our Bible Reading Challenge today contains the cost of the materials used for the construction of the tabernacle? (Exodus 38)

ESTIMATED VALUE (Exodus 38:24-31) With the change in monetary values, it is difficult to accurately evaluate the Tabernacle. However, the Scriptural listing was:

GOLD 29 talents 730 shekels = 1 1/4 tons

SILVER 100 talents 1,775 shekels = 4 1/4 tons

BRASS 70 talents 2,400 shekels = 4 tons

I saw estimates in the Internet which varies from 10 million to 57 million dollars. For me the main point is that God deserves our best.

Please read Exodus 33 - 38. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!
