When I was growing up, every day this sentence could be heard, "Qui veut son respect se le procure." Young people complain often that they are not respected by the older folks. The Bible has a very important instruction for all young people who want to be taken seriously: set a good example for your parents, for your teachers, for your peers, and for everyone that is around you.  

 ¹² Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4)
