Brothers and Sisters,
6 he says:
“It is too small a thing for you to be my servant
to restore the tribes of Jacob
and bring back those of Israel I have kept.
I will also make you a light for the Gentiles,
that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6)
I misread the beginning of the verse as a question, "Is it too small a thing for you to be my servant?" It shocked me to read it that way. It was as if God was asking me the question, "Is it too small a thing for you to be my servant?" What about you, "Is it too small a thing for you to be God's servant, to be used by God to restore the people in your family, to heal and to comfort them, to bring back to God the people at your work, and in your church?"
Seriously, "Is it too small a thing for me to be simply God's servant?"
May the Lord richly bless you!
