Brothers and Sisters,

Everything seems to be going bad in the world, but everything is going to be made right soon.

³ He will judge between many peoples
    and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
    and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
    nor will they train for war anymore.
⁴ Everyone will sit under their own vine
    and under their own fig tree,
and no one will make them afraid,
    for the Lord Almighty has spoken.(Micah 2 -4)

But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. ² He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. (Jonah 3) 

Have you ever been angry with God? Jonah was angry with God, but in his anger he revealed something very profound about God, knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity."  He told the truth.

⁴ Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. ⁵ All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship. But Jonah had gone below deck, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep. (Jonah 1)

No one bears in this life the consequences of their sins alone. There are always innocent by-standers who suffer along with the offenders.
