Matthew 9 - 11

Brothers and Sisters,

According to Matthew 9:37-38, there is an ever need for Christians to pray for God to send more workers to the church and  to the mission field.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Please pray for more workers at your church, or  pray for God to make you one of the workers.

Please read Matthew 9 - 11.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Matthew 1 - 5

Brothers and Sisters,

23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. 25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis,[u] Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. (Matthew 4)

Please read the chapters Matthew 1 - 5.

Malachi 1 - 4

Brother and Sisters,

The message of  Malachi 3:7-10, the Discipline of Giving, is one of the most important messages that you can integrate into your life. Tithing is the law of God, and is giving to us for our blessing.

Malachi 3:7-10

“Yet from the days of your fathers you have turned away from My statutes and ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings [you have withheld]. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, this whole nation! 10 Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it.

God told the Israelites that they were cursed with a curse because they withheld their tithes and offerings. All they had to do was to return to God with their tithes and offerings, and God would return to them.

There is a difference between the tithe and offering. Tithe is a ten percent determined by God. Offering is determined according to one's heart. In  2 Corinthians 9 we read, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

One can give an offering according to one's ability to give or above one's ability to give in order to plant for an harvest (2 Corinthians 8:5). You decide what you are going to give. God decides the tithe.

Tithing is proof of your devotion to God, it is a sign of your trust in God. Even as God wanted to bless the Israelites, God is looking for people who want to be conduit of his blessings throughout the world.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

Please read Malachi 1 - 4.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Zechariah 6 - 9

Brothers and Sisters,

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
    Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
    righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zechariah 9)

It is said that, “The Old Testament is in the New revealed and the New Testament is in the Old concealed.”  You do not have to be student of theology to see the connection between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The above verse is clearly about Jesus.

Please read Zechariah 6 - 9.

Zechariah 3 - 5

Brothers and Sisters,

Only God can help us to serve him. Joshua the High Priest had no right to be in the presence of the Angel of the Lord dressed in filthy clothes. This was a very serious violation.  But God had mercy on him, as God has mercy on us.

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”

Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.” (Zechariah 3)

God has something wonderful to reveal to you through his word. Please read Zechariah 3 - 5.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Zephaniah 1 - 3

Brothers and Sisters,

Everything we give to God comes in the first place from God. Only God can help us to serve him. Our walk is a walk of humility.

“Then I will purify the lips of the peoples,
that all of them may call on the name of the Lord
and serve him shoulder to shoulder. (Zephaniah 3)

Please read the chapters Zephaniah 1 - 3.

Habakkuk 1 - 3

Brothers and Sisters,

When I was growing up, Habakkuk 2:20 was the call to worship most Sundays at our church. And after the pastor or the leader uttered these words, "L'Éternel est dans son saint temple. Que toute la terre fasse silence devant lui!" a hush fell over the congregation, as we sensed God's manifested presence.

Please read the three chapters of Habakkuk 1 - 3.

Brothers and Sisters,

He will judge between many peoples
and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.

Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore. (Micah 4)
