2 Corinthians 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says,

“In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.”

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6)

Please read 2 Corinthians 4 - 6.

May the Lord richly bless you!

2 Corinthians 1 - 3

Brothers and Sisters,

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1)

When you think of God do you see the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort?  In Jonas 4:2, Jonas was upset with God because of God's compassion and mercy on the people of Nineveh, but we Christians should desire God's compassion on  all.

He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. (Jonah 4:20).

1 Corinthians 12 - 16

Brothers and Sisters,

Someone once asked me what is the best gift of the Holy Spirit for a church. I believe that the best gift is the gift that is most needed in that particular church at a particular time. A person who is lost in the Sahara desert will need much more a bottle of water than a bag of gold.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. (1 Corinthians 12)

1 Corinthians 7 - 11

Brothers and Sisters,

23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. ( 1 Corinthians 11)

1 Corinthians 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.(1 Corinthians 4)

Our judgment will be a judgment for rewards, not of a judgment for punishments. Do you desire to receive your praise from God?

Please read 1 Corinthians 4 - 6.

1 Corinthians 3 - 5

Brothers and Sisters,

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3)

I have found this definition of living by the Spirit on the Internet that I want to share with you. Living by the Spirit is allowing the Holy Spirit to direct every thought, word, action, and motive in our life, and allowing the Holy Spirit to cultivate his fruits and his virtues in our lives.

Are you living by the Spirit?

Please read 1 Corinthians 3 - 5.

Romans 16 - 1 Corinthians 2

Brothers and Sisters,

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. ( 1 Corinthians 1)

How is that possible? A church that reads the Bible together stays together. If you want to promote harmony in your church, read the Bible together with your brothers and sisters.

Please read Romans 16 - 1 Corinthians 2

Romans 13 - 15

Brothers and Sisters,

Romans 14 is a chapter on tolerance. Every good thing that we wish that our country practices must be practiced in the body of Christ first. As we change in our local churches, so will our country change. .

Please read Romans 13 - 15.

Romans 10 - 12

Brothers and Sisters,

I praise God who allows us to come in unity to read the Bible together. It is beautiful to increase in the knowledge of  the word of God. "Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ."(Acts 10). Our faith is increasing without us noticing it.

I encourage and challenge you to read Romans 10 - 12 at least three times.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Romans 7 - 9

Brothers and Sisters,

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11)

God is concerned about our physical well-being; the earthly ministry of Jesus demonstrates that truth. "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness." (Matthew 9:35).

The interesting thing is that Jesus wants us, his disciples, to do the same.  "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease,"(Mathew 10:1)

Have you healed anyone lately? Do you desire to heal someone?

Romans 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

Every verse of the Bible is important since "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," (2 Timothy 3:16). But, some verses are so well known and so fundamental to our understanding of salvation that they have become classics of the faith. The Book of Romans contains many such verses. Please pay close attention while we are reading this book together.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone believing--both to Jewish first, and to Greek.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Acts 27 - Romans 3

Brothers and Sisters,

A lot of good things that are happening in the lives of those around you could be just because of you. God wants to be gracious to you. God gave to Apostle Paul a gift that money could not buy, "God graciously protected the lives of 275 people just because of Apostle Paul." Are you a blessing to those around you?.

23 Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ 25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

37 Altogether there were 276 of us on board. (Acts 27)

Acts 24 - 26

Brothers and Sisters,

If you invite a non-believer friend to your church, what would you prefer? To see  your friend being frightened by the message or being comforted by the message? It seems that Paul was not politically correct wen he was talking about  salvation by faith in Jesus. Paul's sermon caused the Governor Felix to be very afraid. "As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” (Acts 24:25)

We live in a time when a lot of people have no fear of God; they are heading toward destruction. We should encourage our pastors and our preachers to preach like Paul; to talk about righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come.

Please read Acts 24 - 26.

Acts 18 - 20

Brothers and Sisters,

13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. (Acts 19)

Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you? Being a Christian is not a formula but a relationship. We need to be friends with Jesus.

Please read Acts 18 - 20.

May the Lord richly bless you!
