Genesis 33 - 37

Brothers and Sisters,

Please read Genesis 33 - 37, or click on this link to listen to them. The stories are fascinating. Since God  was able to use those flawed characters of the stories in his plan of redemption of the human race, he can also use you and me to help men and women find salvation in Jesus.

Please read Genesis 33 - 37. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 30 - 32

Brothers and Sisters,

"The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22)"  The story of Jacob shows us that God will compensate us when men try to rob us of the fruits of our hard work.

Please read Genesis 30 - 32. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 27 - 29

Brothers and Sisters,

What does it take to be good parents? Isaac loved Esau, Rebekah loved Jacob. These were godly parents, but people with very bad parenting skills.Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob (Genesis 25:28). You can be very spiritual, nevertheless lacking when it comes to raising your children in a healthy way. Should we despair?  Not at all. God put us in a community of faith so we can learn from each other and help each other in being transformed into the family of God. It takes a whole church to raise a child!  What do you think?

We learn a very important lesson from the story of that very dysfunctional family, "avoid favoritism at all cost when dealing with siblings."

Please read Genesis 27 - 29. Or Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 24 - 26

Brothers and Sisters,

"12 Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 13 See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. 14 May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

15 Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder."

Prayers can take years to be answered, but  they also can get instantaneous answers such as a prayer for a mate. God enjoys matching couple, a man and a woman, in marriage. The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” ( Genesis 2:18) That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 21 - 23

Brothers and Sisters,

12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” (Genesis 21:12-14)

Do you know God as Jehovah-Jireh, the God who will provide for all your needs? Abraham knew God as his provider. We can know God as our provider, all it takes is our obedience.

Please read Genesis 21 - 23. Or Listen

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 18 - 20

Brothers and Sisters,

Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? (Genesis 18)

Abraham was a friend of God. You also can be a friend of God. Do you talk to him and enjoy his presence? Do you listen to him when he speaks to you. Yes, God still speaks to his friends. Abraham was an excellent intercessor. Are you an intercessor? God loves intercessors. Do you want to be one?

Please read Genesis 18 - 20. Or Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 15 - 17

Brothers and Sisters,

Genesis 15:6 is a key verse to understand God's relationship with Abraham. "Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness (Gen. 15:6)." Do you believe the Lord?

Please read Genesis 15 - 17. Or Listen

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 10 - 14

Brothers and Sisters,

The call of Abraham in Genesis 12 is the key to understand most of the Old Testament.

Please read Genesis 10 - 14. Or Listen to them.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 7 - 9

Brothers and Sisters,

In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Everything that we do in the spiritual realm has great impact in the physical realm, reading the Bible daily is one of those spiritual activities with great physical benefit; it gives us health in our body (see Proverbs 4).

Please read Genesis 7 - 9. Or Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Genesis 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

Reading the Bible together as a church can be one of your greatest contributions to the life that church. Bible reading as a team creates great harmony in our thoughts, our mind, and our spirit. With great harmony comes perfect agreement, and with perfect agreement come tremendous success in prayer for a group of people. Jesus says in Mathew 18:19, “Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."

Please read Genesis 4 - 6. Or Listen to them being read.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Revelation 21 - 22

Brothers and Sisters,

This morning I went to the funeral service for the mother-in-law of one of my dear friends. It is hard to lose one's mom and mother-in-law on the same year, in the space of six months. But since these two departed women were women of faith and of love, who trusted in the Lord Jesus, we comforted ourselves with the words of Revelation:

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Please read Revelation 21 - 22. Or Listen to them.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Revelation 19 - 20

Brothers and Sisters,

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:

“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,  for true and just are his judgments. (Revelation 19)

Revelation 12 - 16

Brothers and Sisters,

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
    has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
    and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.

Please read Revelation 12 - 16. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!
