Leviticus 4 - 7

Brothers and Sisters,

To fully appreciate the death of Jesus on the cross for the remission of our sins we need to see sins with the eyes of God, how he sees sins through his holiness. The reading of Leviticus gives us this appreciation. Sin is very costly. It even costs God his son Jesus.

Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

Please read Leviticus 4 - 7. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Exodus 33 - 38

Brothers and Sisters,

While I was in West Palm Beach, Florida yesterday I visited a Haitian church. The church is big and beautiful, they bought it last year for 3.5 million dollars. I felt proud that the Haitian people, my people can buy such a beautiful place to worship the Lord. Is it just a coincidence that our Bible Reading Challenge today contains the cost of the materials used for the construction of the tabernacle? (Exodus 38)

ESTIMATED VALUE (Exodus 38:24-31) With the change in monetary values, it is difficult to accurately evaluate the Tabernacle. However, the Scriptural listing was:

GOLD 29 talents 730 shekels = 1 1/4 tons

SILVER 100 talents 1,775 shekels = 4 1/4 tons

BRASS 70 talents 2,400 shekels = 4 tons

I saw estimates in the Internet which varies from 10 million to 57 million dollars. For me the main point is that God deserves our best.

Exodus 26 - 32

Brothers and Sisters,

11 But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God. “Lord,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. 13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’” 14 Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened. (Exodus 32)

What I learn from this prayer of Moses to God is that God's reputation needs to be our main focus.

Exodus 23 - 25

Brothers and Sisters,

“No one is to appear before me empty-handed. (Exodus 23)" What does that imply?  It implies that God has blessed all of  us financially, and that each one of us has something to give back to the Lord. Do you believe that to be true? A very important question that we must ask ourselves is,   "Am I blessed by God?"  If you believe that you are blessed, you are blessed, and you will continue to be blessed. But if you don't believe that you are blessed, this is a very difficult spiritual situation to overcome.

Please read Exodus 23 - 25. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Exodus 20 - 22

Brothers and Sisters,

One had day I had the strange dream of being very wealthy and being able to put out a Ten Commandments campaign in Haiti. On huge billboards throughout the country we would display the Ten Commandments. Would those words make a difference?

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” ( Exodus 20)

A waste of money some would same. Maybe not, when we consider what the Holy Spirit says about the word of God."For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)"

Please read Exodus 20 - 22. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Exodus 17 - 19

Brothers and Sisters,

The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?” (Exodus 17)

"and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.(1 Corinthians 10:4)"

Please read Exodus 17 - 19. And Listen

Exodus 14 - 16

Brothers and Sisters,

You can fight your battle, or God can fight it for you, but both of you cannot fight the same battle. The smart thing to do is to let God do the fighting for you, it is a sure win. 13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14)

Please read Exodus 14 - 16.And Listen.

Exodus 11 - 13

Brothers and Sisters,

Jesus is the passover lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). "He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered" (Psalms 105:37). God led his people out of Egypt wealthy and healthy.

Please read Exodus 11 - 13. And Listen.

Exodus 6 - 10

Brothers and Sisters,

Exodus 10: 21 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness spreads over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.” 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. 23 No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.

God is still making a distinction between his people and the people of the world. We are the light of the world. We must let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5).

Please read Exodus 6 -10. And Listen,

Exodus 3 - 5

Brothers and Sisters,

There is a phrase everyone needs to hear from the Lord. The Lord said to Moses "I will be with you.(Exodus 3:12)." And this is the word that all of us need to hear from the Lord, "I will be with you." But he has already spoken this word to us. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus declares, "I am  with you always, to the end of the age," all we need is to believe.

Please read Exodus 3 - 5. And Listen.

Genesis 50 - Exodus 2

Brothers and Sisters,

23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them. (Exodus  2).

Anyone who calls on hte name of the Lord will be saved.

Genesis 47 - 49

Brothers and Sisters,

Jacob, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, predicted the coming of the Messiah. "The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.(Genesis 49:10)"

Genesis 44 - 46

Brothers and Sisters,

Do you see the events of your life in the context of God's plan for your life. Some of the events of this life may be painful, but God is always directing us toward something greater, to conform us to the image of Jesus. Joseph held not bitterness in his heart for his brothers who sold him into slavery just because he could say, "But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt. (Genesis 45)."

Genesis 38 - 40

Brothers and Sisters,

"The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. ... From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field..(Genesis 39)"

"But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. 23 The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.(Genesis 39)"

You can be a blessing for anyone around you.

Please read Genesis 38 - 40.And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!
