John 13 - 15

Brothers and Sisters,

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14)

John 10 - 12

Brothers and Sisters,

23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12)

God will honor the one who serves Jesus (v. 20). Simple! If you want to be honored by God serve Jesus, believe in him, follow him.

Please read John 10 - 12. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

John 7 - 9

Brothers and Sisters,

37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7)

Do you believe in Jesus? Are rivers of living water flowing from within you? Have you received the Holy Spirit?

Please read John 7 - 9. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

John 4 - 6

Brothers and Sisters,

27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (John 6)

Do you believe in Jesus? God requires only one work of us, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” It is that simple.

Please read John 4 -6. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

John 2 - 3

Brothers and Sisters,

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3)

John 1

Brothers and Sisters,

32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.” (John 1)

In this passage John the Baptist emphasizes that Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 21 - 24

Brothers and Sisters,

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24)

Luke 17 - 20

Brothers and Sisters,

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. (Luke 17)

We need to pay close attention to the words of Jesus. With faith we can overcome every obstacle in our lives.

Please read Luke 17 - 20. And Listen.

Luke 13 - 16

Brothers and Sisters,

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (Luke 15)

This story shows us the necessity to ask God to give us what we call in Haiti "Le fardeau des âmes." God is really happy when a sinner comes to repentance. How does a sinner come to repentance? By us telling them about the love of God manifested in Jesus Christ.

Please read Luke 13 - 16. And Listen.

Luke 9 - 12

Brothers and Sisters,

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere. (Luke 9)

Why did Jesus heal the sick people of his time? Someone would say because there was no good medicine and there was no decent hospitals in those days? What about now that we have good medicine and decent hospitals, does that mean we don't need divine healing? Every medicine has side effects, every hospital visit or stay is a fortune. We should desire divine healing more than ever. And we should encourage pastors, preachers, evangelists and other Christians to heal us when we are sick.

Please read Luke 9 - 12. And Listen.

Luke 5 - 8

Brothers and Sisters,

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. (Luke 5)

Without hesitation, I always encourage busy College students of the church, busy parents of the Church, busy businessmen and women of the church, to invest time to be in the presence of  Jesus with the brothers and sisters. Jesus blessed Peter with a fantastic catch of fish because of his generosity and obedience to him. He will do the same for you because of your generosity and obedience to him.

Luke 1 - 4

Brothers and Sisters,

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19     to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4)

We are living in the year of the Lord's favor. So many people are suffering without the power of God in their lives. They are free but they do not know it. We are to proclaim the good news of gospel to them, for salvation, deliverance, healing, blessings and all good things that God has made available to us through the name of Jesus. Be filled with the Holy Spirit to do the work of God.

Mark 13 - 16

Brother and Sisters,

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Mark 16)

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. What Jesus started we will continue and greater number. Not only for the pastors, the preachers, and the leaders, but for them that believe.

Please read Mark 13 - 16. And listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!

Mark 9 - 12

Brothers and Sisters,

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mark 11)

It is never too late to do good. It is never too late to learn. The verses above should be memorized by all Christians. They should be taught to the little children, the youths, the adults, the older folks. These are keys to a life of success and victory.

Please read Mark 9 - 12. And Listen.

Mark 5 - 8

Brothers and Sisters,

24 So Jesus went with him.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. (Mark 5)

Never give up. We should never lose hope that Jesus is healing us. I truly believe that divine healing takes place in every church service. All the people need to do is to stay in tune with the healing power of worship, of prayer, of hearing the word of God and loving each other. We must be persistent in our walk with Jesus. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

Please read Mark 5 - 8. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!
