Brothers and Sisters,
28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days. (Joel 3)
This promise was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost and continues to be fulfilled right now. God doesn't force his gift of the Holy Spirit on anyone, but everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Jesus said in Luke 11:13, "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Have you asked?
