Joshua 4 - 6

Posted by: Pasteur Etzer Altidor on Fri, Feb 28, 2020

Brothers and Sisters,

God's blessings are generational blessings. We find his promises to bless the children of those who love him throughout the Bible. One such promise is found in Psalms 112:1-2, "Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! 2 His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed."

Since the next generation must carry the torch of blessings,  they must remember what the Lord has done for this present generation, for their parents and  their grandparents. "So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” (Joshua 6)

Please read Joshua 4 - 6. And Listen.

May the Lord richly bless you!
