Isaiah 27 - 31

Brothers and Sisters,
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
or seek help from the Lord. (Isaiah 31:1)
Many of the new generation of young people in the church pride themselves of not asking God for stuff. They want something, they think they should just work hard for it. The prophet pronounced a woe on self-sufficient people. Are you self-sufficient? Are you uncomfortable asking God for help?
