Brothers and Sisters,
6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.
The Psalmist must have been puzzled when he realized that he wrote verse 7 of Psalm 45, even now people are puzzled by that verse. The writer was under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit while he was writing the whole psalm, and he knew it. Even when he did not fully understand the complete meaning of the verse, he understood it to be true, "therefore God, your God," was kept in the psalm. He was talking about the Lord Jesus without knowing it.
May the Lord richly bless you!
